As the curtain closed on our 15th year, Handful Players looks back on all we were able to accomplish in 2021, in spite of significant COVID-19 challenges. Thanks to generous funding and the dedicated work of our 15 teaching artists and after-school community partners, we provided 900 workshops to 1,100 elementary school students.
As the children transitioned from remote learning to in-person classrooms, our performing arts activities in dance, theater, puppetry, and arts & crafts created essential opportunities for individual expression, social interaction and artistic growth. We are pleased to share some video highlights from this fall semester, including a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the everyday moments that mattered and some personal words from the children and teachers about their passion for the arts.
